Apple is facing a lawsuit over the health monitoring features of Apple Watch, a new report from Bloomberg details. Masimo, a medical technology company, accuses Apple of stealing trade secrets and infringing upon 10 of its patents. Masimo filed the lawsuit in a federal court today. The implications of the FBI forcing Apple to create a compromised version of iOS to break into an iPhone could be profound, argues Lavabit – an encrypted email company that closed its service rather than comply with an FBI demand to hand over its encryption key.
