UPDATE: EA has published official patch notes here. They have also announced that the patch will be releasing ahead of February 22 on Twitter. The original article follows below.

Anthem is already available to some of those who purchased the game for PC, and those players’ feedback might be shifting the game’s balance ahead of its official launch this coming Friday, February 22. According to a post on Reddit that has since been corroborated by BioWare staff, Anthem will be receiving an extensive day one update once it releases.

Anthem is BioWare’s first major release since Mass Effect: Andromeda, a game that disappointed fans of the series and left many wondering whether or not the studio could make good on the promises of its next title. Early impressions from Anthem suggest it’s a game with potential. Unfortunately, that same feedback also paints the picture of an early game that’s rough around the edges and an unsatisfying grind at the end. As far as combinations go, that doesn’t seem like a recipe for success, especially given the game’s lofty expectations.

Luckily, BioWare has the benefit of Anthem’s demo period and its early release on Origin. According to a Reddit post from a press member, BioWare is already planning a massive day one patch for Anthem that will improve a number of the complaints players have had. The patch will be available on Friday, and more details and official info will surface at the same time.

The Reddit post already offers a sizeable glimpse into what will be changed or improved once Anthem launches. Chief among those fixes? Shorter loading times. The game has been rightfully criticized for loading screens that take upwards of two minutes to transition through, and smoothing the gameplay experience should be BioWare’s biggest concern. The patch will also fix a number of the challenge tracking and disconnection glitches that have plagued players over the game’s Origin access period.

The patch will also rebalance Anthem’s Javelins slightly. The Storm will receive a slight debuff to its Ultimate attack and the strength of its shield play. Meanwhile, the Colossus will receive two buffs to its own shield, allowing it to activate it much more quickly and to maintain its use while reviving teammates. The Interceptor will also be receiving a buff to its Combo Aura. All of these changes make sense and, based on early playthroughs, should help make each class feel more viable while also helping reduce the number of people who feel that Storm is just the best class regardless of situation.

Here’s a complete look at the proposed Patch Notes, though it’s worth noting that things could change between today and Friday’s official Anthem release:
