Up until today, users in the Republic of Korea were being charged with U.S. Dollars, which were then converted back to the Korean Won for its App Store policies.

As noted on Apple’s developer portal, the company is today going to start officially supporting the Korean Won (KRW).

Apple says that while this change will apply to sales, developers will continue to get paid via the currency selected for your bank in the App Store Connect portal.

Developers and users in South Korea alike will appreciate the change. This way, pricing should no longer fluctuate as conversion is done against the U.S. dollar.
