Earlier this year, Apple introduced a handful of changes to the App Store, one of which being the inclusion of ads in search results. The capability was included in iOS 10 when it went into beta, but now Apple has officially launched Search Ads and opened them up for any developer to purchase.

On a new webpage, Apple guides developers through the process of purchasing Search Ads and offers retails as to the benefits of them. For one, Apple says that over 65 percent of app downloads via the App Store come from search results, so putting your app at the top with a Search Ad gives an advantage.

Apple also touts the ease of using Search Ads, saying that they can be set up in “just a few easy steps,” while also noting that they offer full developer control. Finally, Apple promotes that Search Ads offer stringent privacy and content controls, meaning they are safe for everyone.

Additionally, Apple is offering $100 in Search Ads credit to new users, allowing everyone to briefly try the benefits.

Ads in App Store search went live with iOS 10 beats over the summer. Throughout the period of beta testing, Search Ads were free of charge for developers that opted-in and helped Apple test the initiative.

You can get started with Search Ads on Apple’s website. The capability  is still rolling out, so if you can’t quite complete the process, keep trying.
