Nintendo fans recently got some worrying news about potential Animal Crossing: New Horizons in-game purchases, but it’s too early to panic. Despite what the Animal Crossing ESRB rating might suggest, New Horizons’ in-game purchases probably aren’t microtransactions. Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the first mainline Animal Crossing game since 2012’s New Leaf, and the first Animal Crossing game on console since 2008’s City Folk. Since 2012, fans have only had a few spin-off games, including Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on mobile, to keep them busy, so the Nintendo community is understandably excited for a long-awaited return to form - especially after Nintendo delayed New Horizons from its original 2019 launch window into 2020....

As Apple itself implied was the case in an investor note last week, iPhone sales are taking a hit in China due to the ongoing coronavirus situation. In a new investor note today, UBS analysts estimate that iPhone sales fell 28% during January. As reported by Bloomberg, the UBS analysts say that iPhone demand fell 28% month-over-month in January. A banner that appeared in the Colombian App Store seems to indicate that Apple may finally be updating its Remote app with a new design for iOS 7. Anchor, an app that started out trying to create an audio version of Twitter, has now pivoted to becoming a one-stop app for podcasters. The relaunched app now allows anyone to record, edit, host, publish and distribute podcasts free of charge … Anchor CEO Mike Mignano told TechCrunch that it made the changes in response to widespread adoption of the app by podcasters. He said that it was crazy how difficult it is to make a podcast, and people wanted a simple app that did everything from recording to publishing....
